Wheel Straightening
Example of a flat spot/buckle
Wheel straightening is a process of removing any buckles or flat spots in your wheels. They are caused by hitting objects such as a kerbs or pot holes, which makes the metal of the wheel misshape. This can cause wheel vibrations and slow punctures which can only be fixed by repairing the damage.
The process of wheel straightening involves removing the tyre and heating the wheel up and once hot, we use pressure to pull it back into shape. Once back in shape, we make sure the wheel is fully safe to reuse. We then refit your tyre and balance up the wheels.
If you have any damage to your tyre, we would recommend fitting a new one. We are able to order new tyres and fit them, this will come at an added cost. We will not refit any tyres we deem unsafe and will let you know as soon as we can.
How much is wheel straightening?
Our wheel straightening is price per flat spot/buckle NOT per wheel, so a wheel with multiple flat spots will be charge accordingly. You can purchase our wheel straightening from our shop at £70+VAT per flat spot/buckle.
THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY WHEEL REFURBISHMENT. THIS SERVICE IS JUST THE REPAIR OF THE BUCKLE/FLAT SPOT. FOR A FULL REFURBISHMENT AFTER THE WHEEL STRAIGHTENING, PLEASE ADD ONE OF THE WHEEL REFURBISHMENTS SERVICES TO YOUR BASKET OR CONTACT POWDERTECH FOR A BESPOKE QUOTE/INVOICE.
